Accepted Answer

Yes! The Affordability Calculator and Helpful Links are completely free. Premium features like Fees & Costs, Monthly Spending, the Snagging List, To Do List, Exclusive Discounts, and Couple Profiles are available for £2.99/month or £30/year.

Question 2

How does the Affordability Calculator work?

Accepted Answer

Enter your income, housing costs (like mortgage or rent, council tax, utilities), and everyday outgoings. The calculator shows your take-home pay, total commitments, and what's left over each month - giving you a clear verdict on affordability.

Question 3

What is a Couple Profile?

Accepted Answer

Premium members can link with their partner to share all financial data - your affordability profile, house items, fees, spending, snagging list and to-do list. If either partner has Premium, you both get full access to premium features.

Question 4

Can I export my data?

Accepted Answer

Yes! You can export your affordability results, snagging list, fees & costs, and monthly spending as branded PDF reports - perfect for sharing with a mortgage advisor or keeping for your records.

Question 5

How do I cancel my subscription?

Accepted Answer

Go to Account Settings and click 'Cancel subscription'. Your premium access continues until the end of your current billing period, then cancels automatically. No hidden fees.

Question 6

Is my data secure?

Accepted Answer

Your data is private to you (and your linked partner if you have one). Only you can see your financial information. Admins can only see content you submit like bug reports and suggestions - never your financial data.

Question 7

Can I use the app on my phone?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! First House Planner works in your browser and can be added to your phone's home screen - no app store needed. It feels like a native app and opens full screen.
